I booked a room with the Express in Abilene TX.
(Abilene Mall South) on 12/18/2007 over the phone to the hotel. I called
this hotel because on the website it showed they allowed pets. We had
to take out lap dog. I don't mind paying to have the dog and I am very happy
that some of your hotels allow them. I got my receipt under the door, and
stopped by the front desk to let them know we were out of the room so it
could be cleaned. As we were eating Courtney came in and told me my card did
not got through. So I went to the front desk to see what happen. They were
adding a charge or $30 to my card. I ask what was the charge for, it
was the pet fee. I had ask about the pet fee when I call to get the room and
again when I checked in. I told Courtney this, she said sorry that was the
rules. I said I have a receipt for my room. Sorry.
The room did not even look like an express. Bed, towels, etc. old not the
upgraded.
As I said I don't mind paying for the dog, but if my card had not gone
through they would have charged me without me knowing.
